2018-2019 School Year

Hello TBES Families! I hope you're students are ready for music class!
I am so happy to see your student(s) again. We are talking about classroom procedures. We are also going over which instruments will be used for your students current grade-level. We will also begin working on our songs for Veteran's assembly very soon.

3rd grade students will be playing recorder at least once a week and work on other music concepts on the 2nd day. Students will have an assigned recorder for their lessons in class - this one stays at school. They will be able to purchase a recorder to take home and practice on. This is not mandatory. All 3rd graders will need: (1) 24 count box of crayons. This will be marked with their music classroom number and they will use it for the entire school year.

4th grade students will work on their drumming skills and continue to perform on recorders to reinforce letter  names of the notes. All 4th graders will need (1) 3-prong folder in a color of their choosing. I will be providing worksheets, lyric sheets, and binder paper for taking notes in class.

5th grade students will work on writing out rhythms and coordinating their drumming skills as we look ahead to our ukulele unit. All 5th graders will need (1) 3-prong folder in a color of their choosing. I will be providing worksheets, lyric sheets, and binder paper for taking notes in class.

I will always accept donations of pencils and pencil eraser tops.

Thanks for all of your support,

Ms. Robyn Harp
