May 20th-24th
I hope everyone had a great weekend! SBAC continues next week, May 20th-24th.

  • i-Ready Homework
    • As you already know, students have started completing i-Ready as part of their nightly homework. While I assign a certain number of minutes each night, I'm really looking for students to complete a total of 45 minutes each for math and reading during the whole week. This means that if students can't get to i-Ready one night because of after-school activities, they can make up those minutes later in the week. One important thing to remember: all weekly minutes must be completed by Saturday. This program is individualized for EACH student based on their skills. It is really important that they complete the minimum 45 minutes of each subject every week. The more practice the better though!

Behavior Boxes

  • Our goal is to earn and end of the year party.  Students get 8 boxes! The dates are April 12th-June 8th. It's a long stretch, but by now, students know the expectations and appropriate behavior.

Jupiter Ed:

As the school year winds down, please be sure you're checking your child's grades weekly. I sent home the login information back in September. Please let me know if you need another copy of how to log in.

If your child is sick, please refer to the math link under the "Math Resources" tab to find the Envision math site to print off the day's lesson. You can check the "Weekly Snapshot" section on this site to see what lesson we're on to ensure your child is not getting behind. We also read daily for 20 minutes and have a minimum requirement of 15 minutes EACH of Math and Reading iReady.

Daily Reminders:

Please be sure to check your child's homework folder and planners daily for what they need to do for homework and notes. Don't forget to sign their planners daily. Also please check this website weekly for updates.
Birthday Treats: Please let me know ahead of time if you are sending birthday treats in to school so I can plan ahead of time for time to distribute.  An idea would to be to bring non-food goodie bags in place of food item. **Please note that we do have nut allergies in our classroom.**

ROAR Store Volunteers Needed!
